Portlets from applications
Applications module
Use view pages as portlets
The "Use as portlet" setting can be found in two places:
On the
Portlet tab
in the
properties dialog of a
view page.
and on the
Portlets tab
in the
application properties.
If you add view pages on the Portlets tab in the application properties, the
"Use as portlet" setting is automatically activated in the view page properties.
Equally, every page, where the "Use as porlet" setting has been activated, will
be listed on the Portlets tab in the application properties.
The following conditions must be met to use a page as a portlet:
-
The page does not contain a portlet container
-
The page is a view page (edit pages cannot be used as a portlet)
If a view page is defined as a portlet, you will find a corresponding button
with the title of the page in the
Portlets from applications area
on all
portal pages.
This button allows you to
allocate the portlet
so that it can be used in the browser.
Portlet container
The portlet container is an
application element
that allows you to display portlets on view and edit pages. As is the
case with all
portal pages,
you will then find an arrow button on the right-hand side of the page.
Click here to open the settings where you can select and arrange the
portlets of your choice.
